Indian Bank Apprentice Vacancy 2026
A total of 1,500 apprentice seats are available under this engagement. The seats are distributed state-wise and union-territory-wise, and a candidate can apply for engagement in only one State or UT.
The district for training will be allotted by the bank. Candidates should note that this engagement is an apprenticeship training programme under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and not a regular employment in the bank.
Who Can Apply for Indian Bank Apprentice Recruitment
Candidates who hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government, can apply. The candidate must have passed the graduation on or after 1 April 2022 and latest by 1 November 2026.
Registration on the NATS 2.0 portal (nats.education.gov.in) is mandatory before applying, as the application requires the enrolment details of the apprenticeship portal.
Age Limit
The minimum age of the candidate should be 20 years and the maximum age should be 28 years as on 1 November 2026. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and other eligible categories as per Government of India guidelines.

The apprenticeship training period is 12 months. Apprentices are not entitled to the salary and allowances applicable to regular bank employees during the training period.
Selection Process
The selection process for Indian Bank Apprentice engagement consists of the following stages:
1. Online Test
Eligible candidates will appear in an objective-type online examination covering five sections. The merit list will be prepared state-wise on the basis of marks obtained in the online test.
2. Local Language Proficiency Test
Candidates shortlisted from the merit list will have to qualify a test of proficiency in the local language of the State or UT for which they have applied, unless they have studied the local language at the 10th or 12th standard level.
Application Fee
The application fee is ₹800 plus GST for General, OBC and EWS candidates. For SC, ST and PwBD candidates, the intimation charges are ₹175 plus GST.
The fee can be paid online at the time of submitting the application form.
