OBC vacancies are for Non-Creamy Layer candidates only. The vacancies are provisional.
Who Can Apply for SBI Manager & Deputy Manager (Security) Recruitment 2026
Both posts need a graduate degree in any discipline from a Government-recognised University or Institution, plus the service conditions below.
For Manager (Security), the candidate must be an officer not below Major in the Indian Army, or of equivalent rank in the Navy or Air Force, with at least 10 years of commissioned service — or an officer not below Deputy Commandant in a para-military force, with at least 10 years of service as an officer.
For Deputy Manager (Security), the candidate must be an officer not below Captain in the Indian Army, or of equivalent rank in the Navy or Air Force, with at least 5 years of commissioned service — or an officer not below Assistant Commandant in a para-military force, with at least 5 years of service as an officer.
Only applicants with medical fitness in SHAPE-1 or an equivalent medical category as on the advertisement date are eligible. Selected officers will conduct security audits at branches and offices, organise security drills, review security arrangements, liaise with civil, military and police agencies, and disseminate the Disaster Management Plan.
Age Limit
The minimum age is 25 years and the maximum age is 40 years as on 31.10.2026, for both posts. Relaxation in the upper age limit is available to reserved-category candidates as per Government of India guidelines.

Selected candidates will also receive DA, HRA, CCA, Provident Fund, NPS, Leave Fare Concession, medical facility and other perquisites as per Bank rules. Probation is 6 months.

Selection Process
Selection is through an Online Written Test followed by a Personal Interview. Shortlisting for interview is category-wise, based on test performance and vacancies.
The Bank may change the mode to shortlisting and interview.
Step 1: Online Written Test
Candidates first take an objective Online Written Test of 200 questions for 200 marks, in 2 hours. Only Professional Knowledge marks count for merit; the other three papers are qualifying.
Step 2: Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates are called for a Personal Interview of 100 marks, with qualifying marks decided by the Bank. The interview may be held through video conferencing.
Step 3: Final Merit List
The final merit list normalises Professional Knowledge (70% weightage) and interview marks (30%) to 100. Ties at the cut-off are ranked by age, older first.
Outstation interview candidates are reimbursed economy-class airfare up to Rs 10,000 to-and-fro, on submission of tickets and boarding pass.

There is no negative marking — no marks are deducted for wrong answers. The Professional Knowledge syllabus covers security practices, security management, risk assessment, security hardware (access control, X-ray scanners, DFMD/HHMD, fire safety, CCTV, communication systems, weapons basics), SOPs, incident and disaster management, manpower management, executive protection, business continuity planning, information and IT security, liaison, bank security (cash, vault and ATM security, burglary and dacoity prevention) and administration.

The fee is non-refundable, payable online only (debit card, credit card, internet banking or UPI) between 04.11.2026 and 25.11.2026. UR, EWS and OBC candidates pay Rs 750 (application fee plus intimation charges); SC and ST candidates pay Nil.
